Another heartbreaking story from the father of three children
Radioactive ammunition, which was used during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina has shown it's ugly face in many ways. The effects are catastrophic. Statistics of the huge number of cases of leukemia and other forms of cancer speak for themselves.
This is the story of one of our soldiers who suffers from leukemia. He is in a very difficult situation - no income of any kind and there is no one to feed his three children. We plead for your help as much as you can.
(Update: On November 16, 2006 our Midhet has moved to a better place (passed away). We ask Allah to be merciful towards him and to show him heavenly gardens. We leave this letter from Midhet for anyone who wants to help his children.)
My name is Kovacevic Midhet. I was born in T.Polje near the city of Zenica. Was a soldier in Bosnian army from 1992 to the end of war. I lived a normal life after the war until a few moths ago when I was suddenly diagnosed with a horrible disease (LEUKEMIA).
At the moment I am in the Kosevo hospital [in Sarajevo] and doctors are fighting for my life. However, my health is not improving and doctors suggested bone marrow transplant but I cannot afford it. I have three children and at the moment we have no income of any kind. I would like to ask all people of good will to help me if they can. My phone number is 032-680-182 and I also have a bank account:
